The hotel itself has many amenities and is very clean. Close to a metro.
Didn't like: The rooms were incredibly small!! Could barely wheel in a medium sized suitcase and nowhere to open it. Could barely turn around in the bathroom.

Location. Clean room and linens. Car parking on site, although charges 3000 per 24hrs.
Didn't like: Automatic check in, very impersonal and doesn't give good first impression - needed staff assistance to find booking. Room was very small, suitcases had to go under the bed otherwise wouldn't be able to walk around the bed. Very small bath/shower/toilet pod. Just st adequate but so cramped.

Good location as your last option Location
Didn't like: The cleaning of the room and hallways was inadequate; the air conditioning had an unpleasant odor, and there was a lot of dust in the room—a significant amount was visible next to the refrigerator, which triggered an allergic reaction.

Great Stay Very helpful with check in and also after checking out I had forgotten my phone in the room, they made it very easy to get back. Hotel was clean. Beds were comfortable. Great location to train, site seeing, and food. Amazing views from room!
Didn't like: There was nothing we didn't like.

A convenient and comfortable hotel with great amenities, and a unique sumo neighbourhood. APA Hotel & Resort Ryogoku Ekimae Tower met our expectations during our stay. The room was small, as you might expect in Tokyo, but it had all the amenities we needed. We also appreciated the Japanese robes provided in the room, with fresh ones and towels supplied every two days. The swimming pool on the upper floor offers fantastic views. Unfortunately, it was closed during our stay, so we couldn't swim, but we still enjoyed sitting on the chairs and relaxing while taking in the view. One of the most convenient features was the Lawson convenience store on the third floor. It might sound like a small thing in Japan, where convenience stores are everywhere, but having one inside the hotel was incredibly handy. After showering, we could simply head downstairs to grab late-night snacks and hot drinks without leaving the building. **A useful tip: make sure to use the hotel's luggage transfer service.** We found it cheaper than other options we came across, and the process was straightforward and convenient. Location-wise, the hotel is particularly good if you're interested in sumo wrestling. It's close to Ryogoku Kokugikan Sumo Arena, and you might even spot sumo wrestlers walking around the neighbourhood. There are also some interesting traditional sumo shops nearby, which add to the local atmosphere. The hotel isn't directly connected to the Shibuya area by a single train line, so you'll need to change trains to get there. However, the Ryogoku area has its own charm and is a great choice if you want to experience a different side of Tokyo.
Didn't like: The biggest downside was the laundry facilities. I wouldn't recommend relying on them during your stay. The washing machines didn't seem to clean our clothes properly, and I had to stay up for around two hours waiting for the dryer, only to find that my clothes were still damp. The machines and surrounding area also looked quite dusty and could use a thorough cleaning and better maintenance. I also noticed some dust in the room. Although the room was generally clean, the housekeeping could have been a little more thorough.
