Too many complications. Wouldn't go back. Location was a good spot. Easy to get to the trolly stop, restaurants, and the sightseeing tour bus stop on Canal St. Plenty of food options nearby. Room was decent enough. You can tell they need to make some updates but not the end of the world.
Didn't like: Hotel had too many complications. The parking they told us was $40 a night before we got there, then changed it to $45 a night. They never mentioned said parking was 3 blocks away from the hotel and you had to park your car there then walk back. The parking lot sign also said it was charging $40 a night, so we lost money going through the hotel instead of just parking ourselves and paying the lot attendant. Our first night there the fire alarm went off at 3AM and everyone had to evacuate the hotel, but then they sent us right back upstairs. So that was annoying. We were eating breakfast in the lobby one morning and a homeless man intruded into the hotel and was trying to steal breakfast off the breakfast bar. There was a lot of screaming and yelling happening from the ladies that worked at the hotel telling the homeless man he couldn't be in here, police were called and it just made me feel unsafe. They were trying to kick him out and he was flinging oatmeal all over the breakfast counter. Finally, a male employee was able to step in and remove him from the lobby. We thought there would be a water fountain of some sort to refill our water bottles, but there was no option like that at this hotel. The ice machine was broken on our floor too, but I was able to hunt down another one a couple floors down. The continental breakfast the hotel provides with their stay is very underwhelming. They do not let you self-serve. Employees pass out small portions of eggs, potatoes, sausage links and bacon. There was 3 types of cereal, oatmeal and grits in a warming container, yogurt that got dispensed out of a machine, and an assortment of small danishes. I tried to make toast one morning but the bread they put out in the container was still frozen.

Do NOT stay here! Absolutely nothing
Didn't like: The staff was extremely rude, the parking is unsafe and overpriced, and I did not even end up staying the night here because of the way I was treated with my service dog.

Overall, it was a convenient and comfortable option for a short stay. The good location, useful amenities and particular Great location and useful amenities, especially for a one-night stay. The staff were welcoming and friendly, and the lady working in the breakfast area was especially sweet and made us feel very welcome.
Didn't like: The shower pressure could have been a little stronger. A microwave in the room would also have been a nice additional option, especially for a longer stay, although it wasn’t really an issue for us since we only stayed for one night.

Centrally located. Everywhere I wanted to go was a 15 minutes or less walk. The staff was great. Very accommodating.
Didn't like: The parking makes no sense. You’re paying for self-service parking, not valet parking. The parking “lot” is a block away, which isn’t bad, the space itself is awful. It’s tight, small, and not easily maneuverable. It’s definitely not worth $40/night. The location is great; the room was small for the two of us. But I was there to enjoy the city & not the room.
