Didn't like: step up into bathroom, no fan or window in bathroom.

Will definitely return! This facility was great! The history is well preserved and beautiful still! The staff were all wonderful and very accommodating with every aspect!

Probably will never go back. Being greeted by amazing valet. The beautiful atmosphere and room. Location couldn’t be better.

Didn't like: Rude front desk hosts, checking then checking out. Triple charged for my room with zero responsibility on their end. Zero compensation. Breakfast is samples of what breakfast should be.

We only stayed overnight but it was wonderful. The hotel was beautiful and has a vintage character. It was beautiful and clean. They provided free drinking water and discounts to shops in town. Breakfast was good and light. It was quiet and the location was very convenient.

Didn't like: There was no safety deposit box in the room. The doors were not so easy to lock and open. Seating at breakfast should be made more comfortable.

Gilded age glamour The property is beautiful and historic. It feels like you’re right in the gilded age. The spa is very nice too and the clawfoot tub was lovely. It’s a great location. The front desk staff was extremely accommodating and saved the day when I booked the corner room only to find that because of the additional windows and proximity to the bars / clubs below that it was very loud. I can’t recall her name, which I regret because she was so kind and helpful, but she managed to switch me to a different, much quieter room that still had the tub for me to enjoy.

Didn't like: If you’re a light sleeper like me, the corner rooms might want to be avoided. As a historic hotel the soundproofing is limited so it’s good to keep in mind. The only other thing I wouldn’t say I didn’t like, but was a bit disappointing for such a nice hotel is they only have a continental breakfast included. It was very tasty but there’s just something about having a full breakfast that’s special and would make it close to perfect.

The history of it.

Didn't like: The step up to the bathroom wasn’t easy for my mother.

Adequate, Clean but Stodgy Great location close to the wonderful breakfast options at, surprisingly, the train station. Roomy bathroom with good shower.

Didn't like: It's one thing to preserve ah historical property and respect its "good bones". We found the huge, dark furniture pieces oppressive and the sole bedroom window looking out onto essentially a shaft or alleyway gave the room an overall gloomy feeling. I was especially disappointed as I asked for a bright room. Mix it up! Make it fresh and welcoming. You don't have to be a slave to w/w carpeting and dark period furnishings. Use a little imagination and aesthetic options.
