Great location and reasonable value and service Location
Didn't like: Hot water issue with the first night room

Disappointing stay The location is great. Right across the street from the Seattle Public Library. Three blocks from Symphony light rail station. Easy ride to and from SeaTac airport. Next door to the W hotel. Coffee shop style breakfast at Pacific Provisions was good. You have to collect a voucher from the front desk first if you have paid for breakfast in your room rate. Front desk staff was polite.
Didn't like: We had a king room which was very small and dark. Absolutely no counter space or even hooks in the bathroom. Bathroom has frosted glass door. No fan and the toilet is kindergarten height with gas station plumbing fixture. No room cleaning service unless you stay one week which was NOT listed in the description. The entire hotel is worn and in desperate need of paint, new carpets, interior design.

Not recommended. Stairs to elevator. Poor value There were numerous issues the most important of which the hotel did not advise me as a senior that I would have to take over a dozen stair steps to reach the hotel elevator. I am 70+ years old. Upon checking out, I told a woman on the front desk of my upset and asked for a partial refund. She gave me business card of the manager and said I could write her. I am in remission from cancer, have little energy from chemo treatments but will write the manager soon.
Didn't like: having to carry heavy suitcases up and down stairs to use elevator bedside clock was covered in dust button missing on side lamp shade bathroom countertop was defaced no heat despite temperature of 6 degrees Celsius outside window shades dirty barely enough room to sit on toilet due to poor layout safety issue for seniors, bathroom floor higher than the floor in the hotel room- trip hazard for some reason coffee maker was placed on one side of room but bar frigde was on other side?? the base of one window was warped, could not fully close artificial flowers in pots at entrance looked cheap

Very disappointing experience with both safety and billing issues. No
Didn't like: On the morning of checkout, we were trapped in the hotel elevator for over 10 minutes. It was unresponsive despite repeatedly using our key card, and we eventually managed to get out on our own. Emergency responders arrived shortly afterward while we were reporting the incident at the front desk. I have video evidence of what happened. My Booking.com total was $151.97, with a separate $100 damage deposit, but the hotel processed $251.97 plus another $100, as well as an unexplained $0.01 transaction. After checkout, they even attempted to charge another card on file for the $151.97 room balance. I contacted the hotel and provided supporting documentation, but I still have not received a proper explanation or resolution regarding these issues. Overall, this was a very stressful and disappointing stay.

The location was great for accessing the Victoria clipper and the Seattle Art Museum. The room is small but clean. This hotel was perfect for our purposes.
Didn't like: The check in system is absolutely horrible. If it weren't Joel we would have had to sleep in the lobby. The machine was not possible to intuit. You may want to go 'contactless' check in, but the front desk people make the hotel a friendly, welcoming experience. Hotels are part of the hospitality industry. Without people, there is NO hospitality. They are worth a LOT more than they ever get paid. Please get rid of that HORRIBLE check-in machine.

Location
Didn't like: You had to pay $40 to have the room cleaned or even to have the towels changed. Housekeeping didn’t come at all—not even to empty the garbage bin.

Avoid and pay a little extra The location was great, and having a breakfast voucher made the mornings pretty efficient. You could easily walk to transit, Pike Place Market, or other attractions in less than 15 mins.
Didn't like: The hotel was very old and was almost dingy with a wet smell. The room was exceptionally small, and housekeeping is available for a charge rather than a service. There was clutter in random places throughout the hotel to include loading ramps left on the lobby stairs. The staff was nice once prompted but seemed to avoid conversation unless specifically asked for something. I didn't even know how to get breakfast or that there was a voucher until the second day. I was excited about the bar and restaurant downstairs, which was originally a reason for booking. While they may not control the customer service or food quality, it was dismal at best. Both the hotel and bar seemed to use touch order and check in for everything, which completely kills customer service and seemed to delay everything once the bar became a little crowded. After the second day, I started walking next door to the W Hotel next door for drinks and food.

Would only stay again if nothing else was available . Location and value were good.
Didn't like: No early check in that was promised, no valet parking. Couldn’t close our bathroom door.
