Good Value. Needs some TLC. Location. Pool. Staff.

Didn't like: No bed skirts on the bed!!! The old box spring was visible?!?! Ripped/torn carpet in the hallways. I understood that a hold was put on my credit card when I checked in. It was actually a HARD CHARGE of $165. If this is not refunded I will of course be fighting this charge.

Fantastic location and historic charm... The room had quiet and adjustable air conditioning. Bed was very comfortable, bed linen pristine and sn abundance of towels. Loved the coffee brew bags and coffee maker in room and mini fridge. Reception staff were outstanding and the location was fantastic!

Didn't like: Better coffee at breakfast a.bit less air conditioning in bar/breakfast room.

Overall great, but room location matters! Close to Bourbon Street, but far enough away to not be too loud. The pool area was small, but nice to use. The little bar was nice for a poolside drink. The room was basic, but clean. The bed was very comfortable with nice pillows.

Didn't like: If you have a room that faces the parking lot they have the dumpster emptied at like 3am and it woke us up all three nights. Also, the breakfast they let you buy is $15/person and not good. walk a block or two for way better food options

Decent stay and would not recommend. I liked the location and option for paid valet service.

Didn't like: The entire hotel including room was hot, AC not functioning properly. Hotel is very old and carpet in our room smelled old and like mildew.

Great location, terrible maintenance. This hotel has a great location, but is in serious need of better maintenance by the ownership. The staff was overall friendly and knowledgeable. But, on arrival check-in was slow due to confusion about 3rd-party reservations (i.e., through hotels.com). The front desk person couldn't figure out where our reservation was in their system and eventually shoved us in a room that I think was supposed to be closed. We had several interruptions after that as no one seemed alerted that the rooms were occupied. In addition to that, there were several visible upkeep issues including highly unmaintained / moldy-looking carpets, a pool that was green and closed for the duration of our stay, and plumbing issues that led to plaster falling into our shower. I like the location, I like the vibe, I like the people working here. But the ownership needs to budget more on maintenance and upkeep of this hotel or it is going to completely fall apart soon.

French Quarter Charm that’s an old hotel so the street noise can be a little much but it’s a great location and a nice clean room with a lot of history.
