Savannah, Georgia, presents a distinctive blend of Southern charm and diverse activities, making it an excellent choice for groups. Whether planning a trip with friends, a family reunion, or a bachelorette party, the city offers experiences that cater to various interests and energy levels. Groups can enjoy culinary explorations, historical tours, and outdoor adventures, often combining indoor attractions with excursions along the waterways. The city's pace allows for both daytime sightseeing and lively evening entertainment, ensuring a well-rounded itinerary for any group.
How to pick group activities here
When selecting activities for your group in Savannah, consider the overall pacing of your trip. A multi-day visit benefits from a mix of high-energy outings, such as a lively bar tour or a private boat charter, balanced with more relaxed options like a museum visit or a hop-on, hop-off trolley tour. This approach helps prevent burnout and ensures everyone finds something enjoyable.
Accessibility is another key factor, especially for groups with mixed fitness levels or those including children and older adults. Activities like the Old Town Trolley Tour provide a comfortable way to see many sights without extensive walking. For more active groups, a walking food tour or an eco-adventure can offer a deeper dive into the city's character. Anywayr (formerly Travelry) recommends discussing preferences within your group to find common ground.
For popular tours and experiences, particularly those with limited capacity or specific time slots, pre-booking is often essential. This includes specialized food tours, private charters, and comedy shows. While some attractions might accommodate walk-ups, securing reservations in advance, especially for groups of four or more, guarantees your spot and simplifies logistics upon arrival.
