Room comfortable, price was all right, forced valet parking means we won't be staying there again. Check in went smoothly, and the motel was nice. The clerk at the front she was very friendly. Room was comfortable.

Didn't like: Wish there was a self park option instead of straight valet, the website did not say it was strictly valet, if it did we would have chosen a different motel and we do not like that we had to constantly wait on valet to grab our vehicle any time we wanted to go somewhere it was very inconvenient for us, especially if we forgot something in the car we couldn't just grab our keys and go to the car, we had to wait for valet. The TV in the bedroom did not work.

The hotel decor is charming and I loved the retro feel. It is in a good location for the Farmer's Market and even walking to LACMA and other museums. The Swinger's Restaurant is fun, we had breakfast there twice and everyone enjoyed it. The staff was friendly and helpful.

Didn't like: There were some odd, unfinished parts of the decor: no doorknob on the door that enclosed the microwave, coffee maker, mini-fridge and an oversize piece of metal on the door to the bathroom that seemed dangerous. Unfortunately, for the time being, there is a construction site next door to the hotel, so it is noisy. We pulled out the sofa bed to find crumbs, glass and other detritus from someone before us. The carpet was dingy and a little damp, perhaps from the air-conditioning.

Great value and excellent location Excellent location. Felt very safe and clean! I came alone with 3 kids and felt very comfortable and welcome. Rooms were clean and comfortable and the pool was great! Wouldn’t hesitate to come back!

Didn't like: Only 2 things. The coffee machine was not working and the walls were quite thin. Our neighbours kept us awake one night, but nothing some ear plug wouldn’t prevent!

Loved all about the hotel. Had to change rooms due to smoke smell in 222, our new room was perfect. Great hotel, great rates, great location, friendly staff (except valet).

Didn't like: Parking is only Valet. The Valet didn’t greet us, didn’t help us at all with the luggage =no tip

Didn't like: Hotel was very dated. Air-conditioning unit sounded like a train and didn't work properly There was nothing modern in the apartment like USB ports. It needs a lot of money spent to bring it into the 21st century
