The B&B feel with antiques etc.

Didn't like: The bed was so high, you needed a step get up in it. A bit worrisome in the dark.

The helpful and pleasant staff. The central location. The good breakfast.

Didn't like: Having to carry luggage upstairs to the 3rd floor. In fairness, the website made it clear there was no elevator.

Nice stay downtown Charleston. Wonderful location with lots of charm with helpful staff.

Didn't like: Bed WAY tall and hard to even get in. Charged for on site parking, which wasn’t clear at booking.

We enjoyed our stay! It was a great value especially with breakfast.. staff was wonderful. Would definitely stay here ag Clean and the location! Breakfast and staff were awesome!

Didn't like: Bathroom needs place to put your things. Pedestal sink made that difficult.

Enjoyable The location was great and the breakfast was tasty

Didn't like: We didn’t have internet or tv during our 3 night stay One of the receptionists tried her best to help but the 2 managers who we believe were in charge did not make any effort. Also there was an unpleasant smell in the wardrobe Preventing us from hanging our clothes in it.

Oustanding Hotel Outstanding hotel, a beautiful house with truly stunning period rooms. We loved our stay and wished it could last longer. Also a great location, plus parking available on site.

Delightful. Staying in an historic house added to my visit. Room and staff met beyond expectaions. I loved staying in an historic house. It was well located, a short walk to the historic downtown. My ground floor room was large and comfortable, probably originally a parlor. Quaint: with an old fashioned bed that was high and reached by steips. There was a back parlor that always had hot and cold water, tea or coffee and fruit and snacks. Beakfast was served in an enclosed porch. The breakfast was generous for a bed and breakfast, with hot portions fixed on the spot, though I was told that may become buffet. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful.

Didn't like: Instructions for getting into the property after staff hours could have been clearer. Otherwise, no complaints.

Delightful staff, comfortable bed and excellent location. Breakfast was great, too. Location and friendly staff

Didn't like: Dirty rug in hall, floor tiles missing in bath. Huge pond in parking lot that we had to go around to get to main house

Wonderful stay at the quaint Barksdale Inn!! Staff was very friendly and the location was great! It is very close to shopping and restaurants. We were in the carriage house, very clean, comfortable and spacious. This hotel is very quaint with an old Charleston vibe which is what we wanted. Breakfast in the morning was outstanding, made to order. We would definitely stay here again and look forward to it!

Didn't like: Nothing!! Great stay!!
