We make one of the two connectors, so we have tried to be fair and say where Tripadvisor is better. ## The short answer Both connectors let Claude look at hotels with live prices. They are built for different moments. - **Pick Tripadvisor** when you are still choosing a hotel and want reviews, ratings, photos and what is nearby. It needs no sign-in, and you book on Tripadvisor's site. - **Pick Anywayr** when you are ready to book, want flights too, or are planning with other people. It gets an exact quote, hands you a checkout page, and saves a trip your group can vote on. Its listing says it pulls "hotel details, photos, reviews, review ratings, availability, pricing, and nearby points of interest", and it can compare hotels side by side. Tripadvisor's announcement says you can browse photos, ratings, review summaries and prices in the chat, refine with follow-up questions, then click out to book on Tripadvisor or Viator. Viator, announced alongside it, has its own Claude connector for tours and activities. **Anywayr.** Ask Claude for hotels with exact dates and guests. Anywayr returns options in US dollars, lists the room offers for the one you pick, and gets an exact quote with the total and cancellation terms. Claude then gives you a link to Anywayr's checkout page. If you ticked "book with your saved card" on the Anywayr connect screen, Claude can instead book a fully refundable room in the chat, within the limit you set on your Anywayr profile, after showing you the exact total. Tripadvisor says it sifts through "millions of reviews and ratings" to recommend options. Anywayr's connector does not describe a review feature. - **What is around the hotel.** The listing includes nearby points of interest, which helps when the location matters more than the room. - **No account.** You can start searching straight away. Anywayr needs an Anywayr account, because it saves your trip and acts as you. - **Verified by Anthropic.** Tripadvisor carries the Anthropic verified label. Anywayr carries the Community label, which means it passed Anthropic's automated review but is not verified by Anthropic. - **Things to do.** Viator, launched in Claude alongside Tripadvisor, covers tours and activities. Anywayr's connector covers stays and flights. - **Not only Claude.** Tripadvisor also has an app in ChatGPT. Its ChatGPT page blocked our checker, so this post compares the Claude versions only. ## Where Anywayr is better - **Booking from the conversation.** Tripadvisor sends you to its site to book. Anywayr gives you its checkout page from the chat and, where you allow it, books fully refundable stays with your saved card. - **The exact total first.** The quote shows the final price and the cancellation terms, and it expires. - **Flights.** Anywayr searches flights by route, date, passengers and cabin. Tripadvisor's Claude listing covers hotels. - **After you book.** Claude can read your Anywayr bookings, check what cancelling would refund, and cancel in the chat when the refund is full. - **A trip, not just a hotel.** Anywayr saves a trip with its own link and a day-by-day plan. Friends can join, vote on the stays and plans, and see who owes whom. "Use Tripadvisor to find well reviewed hotels near the old town in Porto." Read the reviews and narrow it to two or three. 2. "Now use Anywayr to search those dates for two adults and get me a quote for the one I like." Check the total and the terms. 3. "Send me the checkout," or let Claude book it with your saved card if it is fully refundable and within your limit. Anywayr will not always have the same hotel. If it does not, book that one through Tripadvisor. ## Who should use which - **Still choosing, and reviews matter most:** Tripadvisor. - **Ready to book, need flights, or planning for a group:** Anywayr. - **Both:** add both in Claude's Connectors directory.
