We make one of the two tools, so we have tried to be fair and say where Booking.com is better. ## The short answer Both let ChatGPT or Claude search places to stay with real prices. They do different jobs after that. - **Pick Booking.com** if you want to browse stays with no sign-in, in a currency other than US dollars, and you are happy to book on Booking.com. Booking.com's connector returns a shortlist of up to 10 stays, which you can filter by price, ratings and facilities, and open on Booking.com. Its developer page lists what it does not do in Claude: complete bookings, manage or modify reservations, access your Booking.com account, or process payments. In ChatGPT, Booking.com says the app lets you browse stays in the chat and then move to Booking.com to choose and book. **Anywayr.** You ask the same question with dates and guests. Anywayr returns hotels in US dollars, lists room offers for the one you pick, then gets an exact quote with the total and the cancellation terms. The quote expires. The assistant hands you a link to Anywayr's checkout page, where you pay. In Claude, VS Code and Codex you can tick "book with your saved card" on the Anywayr connect screen, which lets the assistant book fully refundable stays within a limit you set. It is off by default. Anywayr needs an Anywayr account, because it saves your trip and acts as you. - **Your currency and language.** Booking.com shows prices in a consistent currency for you and follows your Claude language when it can. Anywayr is US dollars only. - **Verified, and easy to find.** Booking.com is Anthropic verified in Claude's directory and is an app in ChatGPT. Anywayr is in Claude's directory with the Community label, and in ChatGPT it needs developer mode while its directory listing is in review. - **Rental cars.** Booking.com's ChatGPT app covers rental cars, available to ChatGPT users globally, per Booking.com. Anywayr's connector does not offer rental cars. - **Claude Cowork.** Booking.com lists Cowork among the places its connector works. - **Your Booking.com account.** If you already keep your reservations on Booking.com, finishing there keeps them in one place. ## Where Anywayr is better - **Flights too.** Anywayr searches flights by exact route, date, passengers and cabin, so the stay and the flight can be planned together. Booking.com's connector pages describe stays and cars only. - **An exact total before you agree.** Anywayr's quote shows the final price and the cancellation terms, and it expires. - **Finishing from the chat.** A checkout link in every app, and, where you allow it, booking with your saved card in Claude, VS Code and Codex for fully refundable bookings within your limit. - **After the booking.** The assistant can read your Anywayr bookings and cancel in the chat when you get a full refund. Booking.com says its connector does not manage reservations. - **Groups.** Anywayr saves a trip page friends can join. They vote on the stays and plans, and Anywayr tracks who owes whom, with Venmo and Cash App links. Booking.com's page says its connector does not work in Claude Code. ## Which should you pick? - **Browsing stays, any currency, no account:** Booking.com. - **Need a rental car in ChatGPT:** Booking.com. - **Booking a hotel and flights, or booking for a group:** add Anywayr to [Claude](https://anywayr.com/connectors/claude) or [ChatGPT](https://anywayr.com/connectors/chatgpt). - **Not sure:** add both. An assistant can use more than one connector, so you can compare in the same chat. No. Booking.com's own page says bookings and payments do not happen inside Claude and all reservations are completed on Booking.com. ### Does Booking.com's connector search flights? Its connector pages describe stays, and its ChatGPT app adds rental cars. Flights are not described. Anywayr searches both hotels and flights. ### Do I need an account?
